interesting experience...almost had an LD i think

i haven't had a definite LD since iv'e been practicing different techniques to find which is the best for me. but, last night i repeated "i am dreaming" in my head while i went to sleep. i had a dream where i felt strange. I had awareness of my dream body and realized i felt numb in my jaw and my arms. at that moment i had awareness of my real life body, realizing i was sleeping on my stomach and i felt my sleep paralysis somehow (vibrations, numbness) next second in my dream i forgot about my real life body and had a thought that my body felt strange because i was on some sort of a drug. no, i thought, that couldnt be it, i have this weird feeling because im about to do a WILD. so i crouched down in a corner and heard that screeching sound ive heard before during DEILD and WILD attempts. i couldnt get to an LD obviously because i didn't realize i was dreaming...i was expecting some noticeable change from before and after the sound. :panic:

Nice it sounds like you were very close. Just try and stick it out through the sounds and what not. Remember it is all in your head. Just work on maintaining your awareness when entering the dream.
