ahh! so frustrating!
im begining to think that im unable to have lucid dreams. I have great dream recall but almost every night im talking about lucid dreaming in my dream but i never go lucid. Whenever i talk about lucid dreaming during the day i always do reality checks but not when im dreaming. Last night after my WBTB i had a dream that my school was having an assembly about lucid dreaming but of course i didnt realise it was a dream until i woke up. Has anyone ever experienced this? Any ideas to help fix this problem?

Whats your mental state like before going to bed? I've had similar experiences and they usually resulted from me being to tense and agitated before going to bed. You could try meditation if that's the case, it works very well for putting you in a calm and alert, a conscious mindset.

Make sure that when you perform your RCs in waking life, you aren't just going through the motions. Take a moment to look around at your environment and imagine that everything around you is a dream. Then perform your RC and see if you actually are dreaming. The idea is if you can question reality in waking like, you will do the same in your dreams. Too many people just perform their RC without actually questioning reality.
