Help with Gnaural!

Is anyone here good with Gnaural? I need to duplicate these steps...

"This tutorial is going to assume that you have already downloaded the BrainWave Generator and installed it.

1. Start up the BWGen.

2. Click Presets | New Preset

This will bring up all the options and customizable features for your pattern.

3. Name your pattern

4. In the length input box you should make it about how long you sleep. I sleep about 10 hours so I put in 600.

5. Now click on the sound tab.

6. In the binaural beat frequency portion, take the second white box and move it to 3Hz and the time should be about how long it takes you to fall asleep. It takes me 15 minutes to fall asleep so I got it as close to 15 as it will go.

7. Move your end box to 3Hz since this is where you want it to end also.

8. Now we need to make some checkpoints along the way to raise your consciousness. Right click somewhere in the binaural beat frequency box and click Insert New Node.

9. Move the node to 90 minutes after your second node.

10. Create a new node as you did in step 8.

11. Move this node about 5 minutes after the node you made in step 9, and move it up to 10Hz.

12. Create another node and move it 5 minutes after your previous node and put it at 3Hz.

13. Repeat this process until you fill up your entire pattern is filled up.

14. Listen too it and hope you have a lucid dream. This also works very well if you do MILD with it."

I don't know about step 14, but I seem to be able to remember more. But I want to remake it in Gnaural, but it seems slightly complicated. Will it actually come out to 10hrs, because for some reason with Brainwave Generator, I moved to file into an editor to change it to an mp3, but it was only an hour so after some editing I got it to a longer time, I get the feeling I may have done it wrong though. 1. File > New...
2. You can add a name/description/author if you'd like.
3. Select one of the two boxes in the bottom screen. You can select them easiest by clicking in the box and hitting ctrl+a.
4. Right click in the box.
5. Put 36000 in the length(it's seconds)
6. Set the beat frequency to 17
7. Set the base frequency to 400hz(you can set this to whatever you like, it's the base tone that you hear. Higher number higher pitch, lower number lower pitch.)
8. Set the volume in both ears to .5
9. Click Okay
10. Double click in the box and drag the point you made to 3hz and 15minutes.
11. Double click in the box and drag the point to 105minutes and 3hz.
12. Double click in the box and drag the point to 110minute and 10hz
13. Double click in the box and drag the point to 115minutes and 3hz
14. Repeat steps 11 and 12 until the end.

Um, I've made the beat, and everything. But there's one small problem. When I go to convert the Output File to into an Mp3 I lose the high pitched sound I'd be able to hear before conversion. Is there anyway to avoid this problem. I'd like to put the file onto my Ipod, but I get the feeling that the high pitched sound is necessary.

MP3 is a compressed digital audio file. Uncompressed audio files, such as WAVS, would give you the full intended spectrum. If you can set your MP3 compression to above 320 Kbit/s that might help or if you can hear a WAV on your player that would be even better (tho it will take up quite a bit of storage space)

I just had it Output it to a WAV I played it back before conversion, I can't hear the high pitched sound....

WAV files are uncompressed data. There should be no loss of audio fidelity. Maybe the file is corrupt or the file you are listening to is compressed (i.e. maybe the audio file is a MP3 and has already been compressed)

I'll describe what I do.
Open the file in Gnaural and play it in there, I hear the high pitched noise, when I have it export and when it finishes exporting, I play it back there is no high pitched noise. Idk what im doing wrong. There are almost no ways to mess up exporting in Gnaural.

Does it export as a wav or a MP3? You might be listening to a WAV but, due to size constraints, it exports a MP3

I'm sure its an WAV (Microsoft). And Gnaural doesn't have mp3 export. Wish it did. I'll check, free up some space and try again.

So there's a tone you hear when you play it in Gnaural, but not after you've exported it to a .WAV. That's weird, you should upload your .gnaural file for the track and let me check it out.

I may have uploaded it twice. Its a zip a tested it on my side, it opened so there should be no problems. But if there are let me know.

Okay, I don't hear a high pitched noise in Gnaural. The base frequency is set to 40hz so it's almost impossible to hear. The base frequency should be somewhere between 100-1000hz. I felt nice and fixed the track. It's exactly 10hours now and everything is set to the exact amount specified in the directions you supplied. You should be able to export to WAV and then convert to MP3 just fine.

Not a problem, it only took a couple minutes. Next time just make sure your base frequency is somewhere between 100-1000 and you should be fine.

Just exported it to WAV (Microsoft), came out to only 3hours I checked the running time in gnaural, it's 600minutes, something's wrong.

Nevermind. Exported it to FLAC, came out perfectly.
