Apparently, they sell a "home use" EEG monitor for $100.

I haven't seen much in the way of reviews on the product. And I've never heard of them before. But if this works well it could be awesome for recording sleep (and dream) activity.
What do you think?
I've looked at it before, but never about recording dream activity. I was more interested though in the Emotive Epoc, which has 14 sensors, compared to neurosky's 2, It cost $300 though. I'm not sure how good either of these would be for monitoring dream activity, but they should work, I was mostly interested in them for controlling a computer.
