Is MILD really this effective?

After four days attempting MILD (three days actually doing it correctly), two of those times I lucid dreamt. I'm not really who you'd call a professional lucid dreamer, either. Is this just, unfortunately, a lucky streak or something, or can this happen with a basic technique like MILD?

Another thought, it might just be DEILD without me knowing it. When I wake up from a dream, I am half awake and can't remember ever waking up during the night when I wake up in the morning. So normally I stay still. Most likely this isn't an issue, but you never know. :l

Well, MILD (if done correctly) can produce a lucid dream almost every single time. Those are the words of Stephen Laberge.

I just heard it was rather basic and not too effective in some cases, but apparently it is. I plan on buying Stephen LaBerge's book, too, so that might help me a lot. So this isn't considered a lucky streak or something like that?

There is no such thing as a lucky streak, as they are always followed by real lucids. You can have one lucid, then loads in quick succession afterwards, as one helps to trigger another. So you could say any lucid that is followed by another is a lucky streak.

I would say you are doing well and the first lucid by MILD helped the others follow faster.

I know that the way Stephen Laberge described doing a MILD in his book is not the way people talk about it on this site. The MILD technique in the Wiki is totally different. The MILD technique in his book isn't basic, and it has great results.

I'll just stick the the technique I am using now. If it has more results, I'll get second thoughts about the book. Thanks for the answers.
