Planting A Idea In Your Own Mind

Is it possible to plant an idea in your own mind using lucid dreaming? And if so, how?

The entire thing about planting an idea in someones mind is doing it without the targeted person being aware of it. This is why it would be impossible to do to yourself. Because you would be aware of the action yourself.

It would help if you gave an example because I don't really understand what you mean by "planting" an idea. If the idea is some kind of information then wouldn't you have to already know it in order to intentionally "plant" it in your mind? Do you mean "idea" in the sense of a prospect or ambition?

Not sure if this is what you are talking about, but often people can come up with new creative ideas for art, music, and design by walking into a room and expecting to experience the completed work (an original painting/song/design). Sorry if I'm not understanding what you're trying to say.

Inception is a great movie, but it put a lot of false ideas out there about lucid dreams and what is possible within them.
