I think I am having trouble recalling and having dreams due to my sleep amount. I only get around 7 hours a night. Do you think getting 9 hours will produce a better recall?
Thanks for the help.

Hello and welcome to Dreamviews. :sunflower:
The answer to your question is probably yes, but it varies between different people.
When you sleep for 7 hours, do you feel rested during the day, or do you need coffee or other cafineated drinks to function? If you do, you are not getting enough sleep and the extra two hours should help your dreaming.
During the early morning is when most people dream more often, in fact, during your last couple of hours, you are almost constantly in a dream state.
Give it a try, I suspect it will help.
Well I have to get up at around 6:30 for work, and I am a night owl so going to be earlier than 12 is hard for me. Therefore I only get 6-7. It is always hard in the morning so I drink Frappacino's to wake me up.
However this site is so interesting I just have to go to bed at 9 tonight to get a full 9.5 hours. I remember on the weekends I have more dreams and then I get more sleep, so yeah, maybe that is the problem.
I hope so, this seems remarkable and I am longing for the day I become lucid.
With your attitude, I think you will have no problems becoming lucid. Please feel free to ask anyone if you would like some help. You can post or PM.Quote:

Good luck and I hope to be reading about your first lucid dream very soon!
I know me recall suffers if I don't get enough sleep. So yeah, I'd add the extra hous in each night if possible.
Alternatively, if you can take naps, even on the weekends, that can really help. I've had the best, most vivid LDs during daytime naps. The naps were usually between 2-3 hours I think.
