7 lucids in 10 days,but.....???

a big Hello to all the DV memebers,
i have a little problem here,i started "actually" trying to have a LD on 1st january,after a week i had my first LD,but i was going through a a very bad dream recall for 4 days,but after that i had 7 lucids in 10 days,i was very happy,but the thing is that all of them were short :P,the longest of them was 1 min,for the first time i thought that it was just because i was very exaited,but in my 4th lucid i was able to calm my self down,but the dream faded,what can i do to stop this (i tried rubbing my hands,didn't work either,i thought that my LDs will get longer when i get more LDs, but it seems that i am not making any progress at all)any stabilization methods will be much appriciated,i would like also to hear your experiences and thoughts about the subject :) .

Well done great work:D don't be discouraged, you've managed what a lot of us dream for lol pun intended..
It will come with practise, 7 in 10 days is great, but still not a lot, and you might be at the end of the REM cycle once lucid.
Try DEILD if you wake up from it, just stay still with eyes closed and you will re-enter.

How have you managed to have so many lucids all of a sudden Areyoume?

A tip: When you feel/see that your dream is fading, just stay still, and think for yourself "when i wake up, I will not open my eyes or move an inch." You should wake up and feel paralysed. At this stage, try WILD directly from sleep paralyse. You should end up in another dream.

I used to have this problem as well. What I did to make the dream as vivid as reality (which some like to refer as an out of body experience), was to trick my body that I had woke up by inducing a false awakening and when I am laying in my dreambed I just stepped out of my body. Another important aspect to both attain lucidity and mantain lucidity is to not wanting things to much, just intend things and live with the mindset that "There is a new night tomorrow". Like a wise buddha who pracctise... to not have any needs, which they attain when they realise that they already are enlightned. This concept is the same :)

oh yea.....i totaly forget about chaining.....any stabilization methods will be much appriciated,i would like also to hear your experiences and thoughts about the subject :) please.

I know this problem, it has been my biggest obstacle so far. I'm not even past the problem yet. There is definitely progress though. A part of it is simply experience with becoming lucid. As your LD count gets higher, your dreams will become more stable. Ofcourse, I'm not going to say 'just wait and keep trying'. The general intent of all stabilization techniques is to pour awareness into the dream and activating the dream senses. So try becoming aware of your dream environment. Also, calm down a lot. Staying calm gives you the time to get used to your dream environment. Good luck!

Nice job on the lucids!

And don't worry about the time restraint. Some of us have been lucid dreaming for decades, but still have those short lucids that we just can't hold onto. Don't let them discourage you. But what has been said so far is true, concentrate on using your dream senses, and keep as much thought of waking up out of your mind as possible. (The more you think about the possibility of waking up, or the more anxiety you have toward it, the more likely it's going to happen.) What works for me is looking at my hands and 'willing' the dream to become more 'solid'. This helps to bring all of the details of my hands (or other surfaces) into clarity. It's sort of a way to 'ground' yourself into the dream. The goal is to focus as much of your awareness on the visuals of the dream as you can.

When I can remember to, I do this multiple times in a dream, and those are usually my longest lucids.
