Tips with SP
Hi, I am new here, but i have been searching and looking at the forums for a while now. Anyway I am struggling to get into sleep paralysis consciously, for example I'm laying there counting to ten and then back down to one(i got taught that a while back), this is supposed to keep you a tiny bit aware while your body goes into sp, however i can never seem to reach sp, i just seem to be going for ages without anything happening, any tips or ideas would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! We experience SP every night, whether we know it or not. It's natural. Consequently, I have found it is best ( for me, anyhow) not to worry about SP. I use progressive muscle relaxation and visualization to enter non-REM dreams in a lucid state. When we visualize we use the same area of our brains as when we dream. Specifically, the secondary visual cortices. Again, welcome to the forum!

Welcome to DV!
Like faceonmars said, don't focus too hard on it. Especially when you're just starting to lucid dream because it can be especially difficult to WILD.
Anytime you wake up in the middle of the night, would be a good time to try and WILD because you'd be relaxed from prior sleep. But don't worry too much about it.
