LD incubation questions
im going to try to incubate a LD and i have some questions. im going to write the dream i want down a few times, and visualise it, then while going to sleep visualise it and say it in my head.
1) how long should i make he scentence? i could just make it "i will dream about doing RC" or "i will dream about being at a lake and something will seem a bit strange and i will RC" or "i will be at school and we will have a RC competition"
2) should i use past, present or future?
3) what should i say to start of the scentance? e.g. i will dream about, i am, i am going to dream that.
4) any other tips?
thanx

Incubating a dream may not be easy. I would recommend you say a mantra to become lucid and then change your dreamscape once you in.
Mantra should be always in present tense, short and to the point. So anything like "I lucid dream', 'I realize I'm dreamin', 'Next time I'm dreaming, I look at my hands and realize I'm dreaming' would work. The last mantra works, if you also practice it during daytime while looking at your hands.
If you tie you becoming lucid with anything or anyplace in your dream and that thing or place doesn't show up, you may loose your chance at becoming lucid.
If you still decide to incubate your dream, the destination should be a place that you are very familiar with, so it's easy to visualize in detail, and you can connect some emotions to the place.
Last night at WBTB I watched this video about visualization ( Astral Projection Personal Trainer) - bottom of the page, that says astral projection technique. The dream that formed was at my destination. But this wasn't DILD, it was WILD with WBTB.
So I was just repeating my 2 mantras "I lucid dream' and saying the name of the destination, while visualizing it.
Hope this helps, good luck.

I like to keep it very short. You need to be able to time the mantra with your breath, so you are not keeping yourself awake with it. Last night I wanted to turn into an Aztec style flying serpent. The mantra I used was just "Flying Snake Dream" I would breath in thinking "Flying Snake" and breath out thinking "Dream."
While awake you can say as complex as you want, but keep the mantra short. I also use "I Am Dreaming" it works great. If I want to go somewhere specific I may use "Hawaii Dream" or 'Dream of the Moon"
