Would this work?
So, I had this idea (I'm not sure if this was thought of or if it even would work, but I didn't see anything on it so.... well yeah :p), I have a function on my watch that beeps twice every hour on the hour. so what if I turned that on, and every time it beeped I asked myself if I'm in a dream or not, followed by a reality check, and then when I go to sleep, have it still beeping. would I hear the beep and then do a reality check? if this works, this would make it so easy! I have a hard time remembering to do reality checks durring the day, I usually forget, and this not only helps me remember to do them, but would be even awesomer if it could actually trigger reality checks in my dreams

If you're only doing it when it beeps, what if it never beeps in your dreams?

it beeps every hour o_o and from my understanding, you're still aware of some things when you're asleep. like I'm a very heavy sleeper but I almost always wake up when I hear my name, so I'm sure I would still process a beep being played. maybe not? idk, any other oppinions

Yeah I'm sort of like you, if I hear my name I wake up like that but I can also sleep through some heavy shit too. Try to just get in the habit of once you do realize it's time to RC make it worth while so incase you forget to do 1 later atleast you got a couple good ones in.
Also after a week or so you'll have it down perfectly. I use SAT like ~20+ a day and it carries over into my dreams easily now :D

Yes, it would work! I have heard of a few people who use their watches to remind them to do reality checks. So go for it! Good luck :)

I read about this in a lucid dreaming book a few years ago. For several weeks I would do a reality check on the beeps and the habit of reality checking didn't cross over into my dreams. Also I didn't hear the alarm beeps in my dreams either so this method didn't work for me. But, as Mancon has said it does work for some people so littlezoe is right, give it a try.
