Can you dream that you're having a lucid dream?

This sounds confusing as hell, but the other night I was lucid. 100%. But I don't remember where it began, where it ended and how I realised if I was lucid. And it felt as if it was about 10 seconds long but tons of things happened in the time. So I was thinking I might have just dreamed that I was lucid. If that makes sense.

What do you guys think about it. Thx.

Yup ive done the same thing twice before. i had a dream that for some reason i was having a lucid dream while walking around in my house. Its annoying as hell if u havnt had any real ones before. I did a reality check in the dream (the one where you pinch your nose) and it worked, but my dreaming self stupidly thought that that meant i was awake. So anyways yup thats normal dont worry about it. Maybe ull get lucky and that will trigger a real one.

it's happened to me a couple of times too. I'll think i'm in a lucid dream only to wake up and doubt it. i can usually tell by how much of the experience I was able to dictate or how clearly I was thinking in the dream (if the decisions felt "my own")

Depending on how you mean that, I suppose so. I had a dream once in which I fell asleep into a WILD, and was fully lucid but didn't realize the bit before the WILD was a dream until after I woke up. So I basically dreamt that I was WILDing, resulting in a DILD.

What you're describing just sounds to me like a LD that wasn't well recalled, though.

I have had many dreams about lucid dreaming. I have also had many lucid dreams. There is a distinct difference!

I have had about 5 - 10 dreams, in which I either told someone I need to go to sleep to have a lucid, or I just called up a sensation I usually get when WILDing and I woke up in what seemed to be a lucid dream. But what it really was, I have no idea. Could have been some kind of a WILD based RC that got me a DILD.

I actually get this thing where I'm lucid, but I take my vision of "the real world" from another part of the dream. Now THAT gets annoying.
