What technique was this?

So, last night I went to bed at around 1 40 am, And I had a long sleep, but woke up @ say 7 or 8 to go urinate, then went back to bed, and woke up again at 9. (I usually wake up before 1 pm) And I had a dream that I remembered after waking up at 9, so I just sort of... lied still, and Let my thoughts flow, and first there was hypnogogic feelings and images, and then, I'm in my towns mall, I'm dreaming, But I'm only semi lucid, because I could control what was going on, I tried to make a monster vanish, I didn't know I was dreaming yet. But I went back into dream world directly from waking, I think?. What technique was this?. Someone help me out! :D

If you saw hypnogogic imagery it probably was a WILD.

That sounds more like DEILD to me. Your description sounds like you fell back asleep without exiting the REM state in the interim.

If you were lucid, I would also say it was DEILD. But you say you didn't know you are dreaming. So it possibly was not a lucid dream? It's possible to have regular dream with some degree of control. Happy dreams:)
