Question Help with remembering to do reality checks in dreams

I know that there are SO many opportunities in my dreams where when I wake up and reflect on it I go " gees that was so wierd, why did I not do a reality check?" So here is my question... how do you do reality checks throughout the day so that you do them in dreams. I have never actually done one in a dream (like pinching your nose and breathing) but when I spotted something wierd in a false awakening that is how I became lucid.

I have really long and vivid dreams and I believe that being able to perform reality checks in them is my key to having a lot of lucid dreams. So ya just post your reality checking routine you have as you go about the day or any tips and cool stuff like that. Thanks!

Try practicing ADA and do RCs while you are preforming it. This way when the awareness transfers into your dreams it will be accompanied by RCs which should get you lucid. Also be sure to preform RCs not only randomly during the day but also whenever you see something out of the ordinary. For example I was driving in the city when I saw a couple ducks walking in the gutters. I found this weird so I did a RC. Turns out I was awake though and it was just an odd occurrence.

Also, one thing I used to do was preform a RC every time there was a major scenery change such as going outside/inside, and I even did one whenever I walked through a doorway. This way it gives you a specific time to preform RCs at instead of, say, every hour which can get a bit murky in dreams (time, that is), whereas walking through a door or going outside happens the same in both waking life and the dream world.

Just be sure to really think when you are preforming your RCs and you're really questioning reality. You don't want to just go through the motions because then when you do it in a dream it either won't work or you'll just shrug it off and not become lucid.

when doing your reality checks, don't just do it and be done with it. Make a big deal of it. Actually tell yourself why you know that you are awake, and that you have proof. Hope this helps .
