Practice! When I was way younger, I used to stay up until 1AM, & I would end up WILDing then! It is difficult, but it is definitely not impossible.Quote:

Why don't you try exercising b4 going to bed (I mean, exercising big time), & it might help!
suppose i could try... any other tips on WILD?
Yeah! Make yourself hyper b4 going to bed, don't drink anything, & don't think about waterfalls, oceans, etc!Quote:

B/c that prevents you from falling asleep until your body does(I had to do that alot when I was 3)!Quote:

B/c I was, okay? I knew I was dreaming, & I would always fall asleep after my body fell asleep. I am a natural (though, I really didn't know what I was doing at all!), & that is just the way I am...is that really bad?Quote:

Not really. In fact, I didn't really know what it was (or the so-called weird things I would put in my DJ [I am not going to say it here!]) called until last December, when I started to lurk!Quote:

so its actually POSSIBLE to have a WILD right when you go to bed? becuz I didnt think it was possible...I tried it and I got a little success with it... :|
Not exactly right away, unless you have exhausted yourself! It usually takes 1/2 hour at least to get into the WILD phase!Quote:

and what exactly is the WILD phase? like seein HI and feeling vibrations?
Those are only steps. The final step is when your body falls asleep, vibrations occur (like you said), & dream images start to show up! You can then follow them into a LD.. or you might decide to ________.Quote:

How do you follow them? I can get to the point where my minds starts to make imagery but I don't start dreaming. Eventually it just fades and I'm sitting there with my body all numb untill I finally ether open my eyes and get up (no FAs I do RCs to make sure) or I lose consiousness and fall asleep. Sometimes I try to move (not enough to actually move my body but move within the imagery) but not too much happens the image changes but I don't get any sensory input other than visual that would make it fully dreaming. Any advice?
i dont know whats up with me cuz i was doing wild lasntight again and my eyes almost REMed a little but not quite. i noticed i fell asleep but would wake up to conscious after a while. but stil nothing happened. argg!
Maybe you are trying too hard. The thing to do is not get to excited, but remain neutral until the vibes come!Quote:

Another thing about WILDs, if you follow the images into a dream, is there a guarentee I will be lucid, at least for the moment I get there?
personally I don’t think WILDs without pre sleep are possible, at least not in normal people with normal REM patterns
I say this because I do know one person that had a WILD without any prior sleep, and from his descriptions his REM periods were remarkably short (he kept shooting in and out of dream scenes) also the dreams he had while lucid were erratic and freaky
so I wouldn’t recommend having a WILD at night even if you could, it really wouldn’t be worth it
Also to answer your question, you aren’t supposed to follow imagery into a dream to WILD this always leads to unconsciousness
You can WILD while napping without any pre-sleep.

This is how it usually goes down. I'll be lying in my bed, starting to fall asleep. I'll open my eyes a little bit and ask myself \"am I dreaming?\" no... im just lying here in bed. A couple minutes later, I'll open my eyes again, and low and behold I'm dreaming! \"Well, that was easy\" I think to myself. Then proceed to fly out my bedroom window for an adventure. I don't why it works so well during the daytime. It seems I don't have to go through all the sleep stages; i can just go straight into a dream. Also, after I wake up from a seemingly long dream, only about a half hour has passed.
This method actually works. Tried it yesterday and it was success when I opened my eyes for the second time I had vibrations and HS.
Lol, nesgirl is a very *special* girl because she can do everything, from WILD to obe to dream sharing to whatever else :P
The other day I smoked up and recalled how I was entering dreams at will at the age of 4 and was sharing dreams with my younger sister up to the age of 5 (she was 3.5 back then)! That is an amazing, and undesputable fact, cause it was revealed to me by weed! Tis true, I swear!
Now to WILD - as kramari quoted, you will have more chances at WILD in the afternoon, or 2-3 hours after waking up, but then you have to go to bed again. You may practice daydreaming as a way of recognizing Hypnogogic imagery and practicing dream awareness.
It is indeed kinda hard to consciously induce WILD from the base awareness. Depending on a person it might take up to 2 hours! That is way too long. WILD is much more easily achieved by breaking REM cycle, becoming aware and immidiately going back to sleep.
Another thing you might need to know is that there are at least several types of WILDs. The one most common is accompanied by bodily hallucinations and "vibrations.. it's also the longest. Other types are more conditional, but faster and have no body component at all !
Uhh.. I am still trying to DS again w/Splash, & she already told me that she wants to learn WILD, & she asked me if it could be done right when going to bed, & I told her that it indeed can! BTW, Splash took me out to a play, & when they sang, "Born to be WILD", I told her, "Born to have WILDs", & we both just started laughing our heads off!Quote:

Do you really think that Ev?
I was very sarcastic, if you failed to catch my meaning
