help needed!!
For the past few weeks i have been doing regular reality checks (every hour that i am awake) plus my recall is reasonable. Does anyone have any ideas why my daytime reality checks have not transfered through to my dreams yet?? And does anyone might have a clue when it will?

I've been doing reality checks for 11 weeks now. And I've never done a reality check in my dream aswell. And I perform them right, I really question my reality and look around and stuff. So I have the same problem was you. :L

First, I think you should't do it every hour strictly. At least you don't have to. In dreams, you usually don't do a rarity check on random because you are too much into the dream plot. So, just do it when you see, hear, smell, feel, think something strange that is not usual. This can be just a little strange (like you din't find your keys) or something really extraordinary (like a dead cat glued to your door...). There shouldn't be a set number of RCs a day (at least this is my opinion). Also, you should do it whenever you find yourself in a new situation (eg. you're talking to a stranger). This doesn't mean you can't look around for strange things :). And be sure to do those RCs right or no good will happen :).
Second, you should start practicing All Day Awareness (in short: ADA). It's one of the most important things I think. It costs a lot of energy in the first days but eventually you get used to it. It enhances your dream recall, makes you more vivid dreams, helps in lucidity, and even makes your Real Life more colorful. It's a very good aid to any of the techniques and can also be used as a stand-alone one. Here is in my opinion the best tutorial on ADA, I strongly recommend checking it out :) : KingYoshi's ADA Tutorial
Third, if you have time you can also practice the MILD technique. Just to be sure. Naiya's Simple MILD Technique
And remember, Practice makes Perfect.

You say you're doing a reality check every hour. Do you have an alarm set to go off every hour to remind you? If so, the problem could be that you're not hearing the alarm in your dreams. It's more reliable to set certain cues. If you've identified any dream signs, keep an eye out for those to remind you to RC (e.g., if you often dream about cats, do an RC every time you see a cat). If not, just choose one or two (or more) common triggers to remind you to RC, such as sitting down or opening a door. You should also do an RC whenever the thought comes to mind. Oh, and whenever something seems strange, even if it's just a little odd.

Thanks for the advice guys (:
I have been trialing that ADA for the last 2 days, it seems like it could be very useful.
And yes i do set an alarm on my watch, but when i don't i tend to forget to do RC's at all, then i look at the clock and its already 8PM :(
Crashyy: I hope you have another lucid dream soon bro :D

You received some good advice in this thread.
Here's another possibility...take a week off from doing RCs. Give yourself a bit of time to let your brain absorb the idea that RCs and lucid dreams are important. Resume RCs after a week. See what happens.
If nothing happens you only lose a week and it's unlikely to hinder your ability to LD or progress with RCs.
Report back in two weeks.
