i have been trying for a while now and i lay there still for 20 mins or more and sometimes i get tingles in my feet and one time i felt pressure on my chest am i getting close and are there any tips you could give me?

It sounds like you are not even close. I would try a DEILD or WILD with visualization.
Nope not close you'll know you're close when you start seeing random flashes of images and start hearing things
Tips: Don't concentrate on SP just lay there and count you breaths , Don't open your eyes (Especially if you start having Hallucinations) , I can't really think of anymore usually these work for me but everyone's different so it might not work for you
These tips will help me aswell. How do you resist the urge to move or boredom?
If you visualize yourself in a certain setting it might alleviate the boredom.
You don't have to see imagery or hear things, no one here really knows how close you were. I agree with faceonmars visualization is the key to succesfull Wild or Deild, focusing on your body or SP too much will make you lose concentration. When I Deild I don't even notice the more than light SP before I transition ;).
