Really close to a WILD?
I am continuing to get really close to having a WILD i lie still for 40 minutes my body gets totally numb i get all kinds of HI but i cant seem to actually go into the dream. I visualize being on a beach with as much detail as i can but its difficult. So do you have any tips on actually geting into the dream?

Not sure if accidental or intentional, but I'm pretty sure this was posted at a later time as well.

It's hard to say what you have done wrong, so i'll base this on what you wrote.
You mentioned lying still for 40 minutes. What i get from this is that you somehow keep track of time during your WILD. If this is the case, dont do it. If you have too many anchors that tie you to reality, you won't be falling asleep. You have to progressively fall asleep while visualising. The same goes for your body. If you feel your body going numb, there's a big chance you're giving it too much attention.
For visualisation to work to the fullest, it has to be your only anchor. Forget about your body and your surroundings by not giving them any kind of attention. The faster you do this, the easier your WILD will come. Your focus should be visualising your dreamscene involving most/all of your senses, until the dreamscene becomes your reality.
Now to the hardest part of visualisation; You can't use too much force of will during visualisation. You have to be able to keep falling asleep while doing it, thus too much effort will wake you up. I suggest you start your visualisation by involving your strongest sense, whatever it may be and go from there:).
I'll be happy to answer any of your questions:).
