Right. The important point here is that the reality check is secondary to the important part: awareness. If you are exclusively using reality checks as your lucid dreaming method with DILD then you will not have much success because of the reasons I mentioned. Questioning reality constantly and habitually, as in ADA, is a great way to become lucid, and can be considered a reality check. However, performing the actual physical reality check to accompany this will not help nearly as much as being aware.

Absolutely. Again, the reality check is secondary to the ability to be aware, and only a small part of "the trick" to having a DILD.
