New Lucid inducing technique

I was thinking about lucid dreaming and how we get lucid. You find yourself in a dream and suddenly you think: this is a dream! Why did you think that this was a dream? It could have been thinking about lucid dreaming, doing rc's or your recorded voice heard through your headset telling you that you're dreaming.

This technique uses the same principle, here are the steps:

* find a small object that fits in your fist, let's call it a totem.

* Go to bed holding your totem

* fall asleep with a mantra telling you that you will find your totem in your dream.

I would love someone who could test this technique out and tell me how it goes!

its just something to help you further your progress. Its a great reality check and method if you could get this to work with ease. "Oh hey my totem" "yay"

There was a member of another forum (non lucid dreaming forum) that had great success with this method.

There is a really old thread on this forum about using a tennis ball that had great success.
