My hands feet etc, were numb, I was pretty clear. Comfortable for the most part.
But...all a sudden I feel like my breathing changes in a way that makes me feel that I need to breath deeply or I'll stop breathing all together, which is frightening.

You need to not think about your body so much. Monitor your thoughts, let them pass by. I assume you were planning on WILDing right?
It is easier with a WBTB, but since you did it in the morning I imagine you did this. :P
The thinking of breathing is what happens to me a lot when I have trouble falling asleep. I just can't stop thinking about my breathing and I feel like if I stop thinking about breathing, I will stop breathing. It is annoying.
My breathing really speeds up when I'm entering a lucid dream, or just seconds before. That's normal. If you look at a sleeping cat/dog when they are dreaming, you notice they are breathing faster than normal.
So just take a note of it, but don't pay attention to anything about your physical body. You are trying to transition into your dream body and thinking/feeling your physical body may slow that down.
Thank you, I feel a bit better now. :) I'm going to do a WBTB and a WILD tonight/morning. ^^
