Can't get lucid

Hi

I have a question. I am able to dream and remember dreams all night long without issue. I can even usually manifest any type of dream that I want with a certain context. Say I want to dream about going on vacation, I can usually think about it and it will be the dream I am having, however when it comes to lucid dreaming, I cannot become lucid. I am looking for UNIQUE, ways of achieving lucidity. Ones that really work. Please don't state wild , fild , dild, wbtb or any ILDS because they do not work. I have been practicing them for years.

Don't get me wrong I have become lucid and have had extremely powerful lucid dreams, obe's , sleep paralysis where I have awoken and not been able to distinguish a dream from reality for a great deal of time , but usually all these experiences are random and spontaneous.

I am looking for insight into why specifically when I go to sleep, even with a focused intent, with my consciousness aware that I am drifting into a dream, but as soon as the dream state is more the reality then my waking consciousness, I have zero control and it is like a movie only or it is like I am just going along with the dream rather than trying to achieve objectives. I have dream signs frequently too and see all kinds of illogical things but it rarely jars me to realize that I may be dreaming. Reality checks are usually not effective as well. If they do carry over into a dream, I still have trouble realizing I am dreaming or just don't care.

I have also tried the supplement route and had some success with lucidity and sleep paralysis , but now the supplements have no effect and I realize the whole thing was a placebo. I realize more and more every day that everything is placebo mostly things only occur because I believe they will in most cases.

Looks like you have a negative view on ways to achieve lucid dreams. That will not help. There is no magic method. Behind every method is hard work. Once you learn the basics and have good founding stones, you can tweak the method so it works the best for you.

By telling me not to bother telling you about *ILDs, you are kinda tying my hands with regards to replying to you.

Many people come here and from their posts I can tell, that they were not reading the best tutorials out there. not every tutorial is the same. Some are incorrect, some downright misleading. If you want, give this one more try. Read DV tutorials.

You say you already had some lucids, so something you did obviously worked.

RCs by themselves don't get you lucid. Especially, if you do them mechanically, without any emotions put into it. What gets you lucid is daytime awareness. (included in WILD linked above). That also works for DILDs. If you like, you can join DV Academy.

Tutorials are not step by step because all the steps will promise you lucidity. Nothing promises you lucidity. Some of the steps might help, but you need to find which ones help you. Write down what things make your dreams more realistic and what makes you more aware. Start making your schedule of things that help you. Keep confidence in those things. You don't need someone else's step by step plan, find your own. The tutorials here are things that help most people.

In summary, find what makes you lucid. Good luck. Hope this helps. :)

edit:Another thing, DILD and WILD are the only ways to LD. No matter what LD you have it is either in the dream (DILD), or keeping awareness till the dream starts (WILD).

I had written a full page response to your posts but when I went to post it, it said I wasn't logged in and that I couldn't post links even though there were no links in the reponse and then it was gone. I guess I will have to condense this.

The reason why I asked for no ILD's is because I have been over them with a fine tooth comb and I feel that "methods" are counter intuitive and counter productive. I don't believe that higher beings put "hard work" into astral travel and interdimensional travel.

I believe what you said is right about having a negative attitude will affect your results by way of law of attraction, but I also believe that by you saying hard work is required to become lucid is also a fallacy and will yield you those results if that is your intention.

When I started having lucid and precognitive dreams, I did no work at all. There were no methods. It was only after that the dreams became so powerful that I wanted them all the time that I scrambled to find a way to control them and have them all the time. Once I started looking for a method and mulling over things was when it all slowed.

By logic I am thinking why would I have to do hard work to experience this if when it began I did nothing at all. That just isn't logical. I asked for no "ilds" because I am wanting only new material. I didn't want to go over things I have spent time on forever and got no where with.

I know by my own admission via law of attraction that I can achieve my expectations, I was simply only seeking new , advanced information, leading edge stuff.

I never looked at your guides though, maybe I will find what I am looking for, thanks.
