WBTB techiques
I have been noticing that in a WBTB techique which works great when I do it right, I need to get out of bed for about 10 minutes and walk around and maybe drink something for it to work. Do other people have vivid dreams without WBTB? If you do WBTB, what's your routine for doing so?

The way how WBTB works is it doesnt actually make your dreams vivid, your just much more aware than usual on deep stages of rem thus increasing CHANCES of becoming lucid. Try SSILD you will have wild experiences.

Hey cloudless. I do get more vivid dreams when I WBTB as well. I normally wake up 4-6 times during the night and with each sleep I get more aware and more vivid. Except for the awakening after like 6 hours I get up and move around instead of just waking up and then sleeping.
I just added SSILD to my arsenal as well. It is something you might want to look into. I do not think it is the "ultimate technique" but I do think it is a good one and pretty good for my schedule.

I usually wake 4-6 times per night. During most wake periods I drink some water which I keep right beside my bed. Usually, during the 3rd or 4th wake period, I get up and walk around for a bit and drink more water or organic fruit juice. I find that I have the most vivid dreams after moving around and staying up for 10-15 minutes. If I stay up any longer, I seem to have trouble getting back to sleep. For me, this is also the right time to use a mantra or even attempt to WILD.
