Is it just me or does it seems that the more lucids I get the easier it gets to get them.
It's like the waking life awareness and the dreaming awareness are moving closer to each other.

I have never had a lucid dream but I would imagine that is how it would be?
I wouldn't say I'm at the stage of being able to agree/disagree with you. However when I do experience more aware dreams they happen together in one night and not spread out. Perhaps this is similar to actual LDs because the transition becomes easier where it's so fresh in your mind therefore quick and simple to re-enter when/if disturbed by 'awakeness'. I can't answer the second part of your question however due to lack of actual experience.
I've been told that the more you have lucid dreams, the greater they become. So why am I still at five LDs then? I don't think it's true at all.
I think everyone may be little different and there is really no guarantee you'll have more and more lucids. Looking back on my own experience, however, I can see how you would come to that conclusion. But don't get over confident; even the most experience LDers get dry spells. It's good to maintain a healthy balance of confidence, not having too much and not doubting yourself is most helpful. But yes, in general, it does get easier.
I've had 4 lucids from monday to now (3 nights), I must say that I disagree with you Xanous, in my eyes over-confidence is one of the best techniques for daily lucids. It's just that it's hard to acquire because if you haven't had them that much you will still have some doubts in your subconscious and you will feel like you're tricking yourself.
It's the same thing with mantra's, it's pointless just repeating them, the goal is to actually make yourself believe what you're saying by repeating them with thoughtfulness.
Everyone's different though. Just stating my experiences.
I respect your difference of opinion. Thats fine. If that works for you then great. I just wanted to lay a different perspective down based on my experiences. I hope you continue to get more and more lucids. :D
I can't say that I have noticed this. Last night I had six separate Lucids, which tripped me out good. They were combined with regular Dreams and false awakenings in a way that made my head spin. I'm still not even sure if I'm truly awake...
This time around I am not yet in the position to confirm that, but I know that when I first did lucid dreaming years ago I notice the kind of snow ball effect you describe, or in other words: the more LDs I had, the more skilled my mind became at recognizing dreams and the more it became a habit, and thus more LDs resulted in even more LDs over time.
EDIT: On the other hand the fact that I did go years without lucid dreaming, shows that I never did reach the level where it became ingrained enough in my consciousness to remain a habit even after I stopped putting in the effort to sustain lucid dreaming. However, I believe that this is just a reflection of my not having yet reached sufficient proficiency years ago. I believe this is possible for more advanced lucid dreamers to achieve a level of proficiency where lucid dreaming is sustained without need to sustain a special effort.
My stats so far, as a beginner : 1st month = 3 LD, 2nd month = 3 LD, 3rd month = 8 LD. And this is despite working less on it during the day, in fact.
Thanks for the replies guys :)
This is how it has been with me. I have seen a lot of people like xanous says "get overconfident". But it does not seem the case for me. My LDs seem to be going up exponentially. I see everything like sports though. Mind muscle memory. :P
