New RC!
This is a new idea I had today.
Normally you can see your nose and the edge of your eyes, sometimes your hair.
I never remembered seeing any of these in a LD, my field of view was more of a rectangular shape.
The idea is that you check if you can see those and how they look.
This RC wouldn't be much noticable to do and it requires nearly no effort.
I'd love it if a few of you could test this for a few days.
What do you think?

voldemort would have trouble with this one. yeah that's right VOLDEMORT :P anyway I become lucid automatically, but next time I'll check to see if I can see my nose, edge of vision, or hair, and get back to you.

i have read about this reality check somewhere..but it is very interesting you found it on your own
i remember it once failed for me, so now i just check my hands.

Interesting, would never found out something like that by myself.

Really interesting.
I'm probably not the first to have the idea, but as someone who wears glasses, I had the intention to use them for a RC in a lucid dream. During the day, along with fingers in the palm and nose pinching, I verify that 1°) I wear glasses 2°) my vision is bad if I look above my glasses.
Until now, I don't know if this would work in a dream, unfortunately. I only had a dozen very short lucids and couldn't test. But, altough I wear glasses since my childhood, I think (but am not sure) I don't wear them in my dreams.

I thought that this RC was being used allready, I just never read about it, so I wanted to post this.
I think I'll also try to check in my next LD if I can see my nose.
Also the more people there are who try this out the better it would be.
:)

The nose check you talk of is an established RC. It can be unreliable (but that applies to all RCs).
