About watching movies for inspiration. Inception and Avatar may work for some people, but I have a feeling it wouldn't me and others. Maybe if you tried to relate every scene to LDing while watching it, it would cause you to be motivated to LD. But lucid dreaming isn't the main topic of those movies at all. Even in Inception, lucid dreaming isn't mentioned at all. It just happens to be one necessary component of the dream-sharing premise of the movie. If you're paying attention to the plot itself of any movie, which is always far more complicated than "lucid dreaming is great," it will stop reminding you of lucid dreaming, and you'll just be caught up in the intensity of the story. It would be different if you were reading and watching stuff that is directly about becoming lucid, if it were something that made you keep thinking about yourself becoming lucid and how awesome it would be. But no mainstream movies will be about that. I can imagine that documentaries, books or articles on LDing might work. Anything that gets you motivated really.
