Hello everyone, I have a question about ADA. I'm doing this a few days and I notice that my dreams are more vivid, but how do you get lucid from ADA?
Do you just know it when you are dreaming, or do you have to do something specific? Do you just notice "I'm dreaming!" ?
I just want to ask you that because i'm doing ADA and I want to know how you get lucid using this technique.:D

Hmmm, I may be wrong but, I think that if you're practicing ADA it's supposed to translate to your dreams and you practice it there without even thinking about it and so you notice something as being a dream. That's what I always thought anyways..
By being aware of your surroundings and the elements around you it becomes likely you will experience a couple benefits.
You should experience more vivid dreams with greater detail. This can take time to develop depending on your normal awareness.
You should be more conscious of odd elements in your dream, such as being naked or aliens walking around.
Your awareness of these elements should, assuming your awareness has reached this point, allow you to have a greater likelihood of becoming aware in the dream. *poof* - lucid dream.
That's the theory anyway. Everyone handles this differently.
In general this seems to work for most people by training the brain to be more conscious of the scenery and elements around us and why they should seem normal or abnormal. Abnormal elements in your surroundings should stand out vividly as you become more conscious of their odd presence. This can also be used for being aware of a specific element that would trigger you to perform a RC.

Speaking from my own experience I think Melanieb is right on. While I dont practice formal ADA, I have been practicing lucid dreaming for about 18 months. Early on only a few dream signs would trigger lucidity. But now I am much more likely to realize I am dreaming without a specific trigger, or first time triggers (like 'how did my shoes change color?' or 'that car just left ahead of me...how could it be out of sight now?' (my last two)
I believe ADA by its self doesn't trigger lucidity. It simply means you have more vivid dreams because you pay attention to your senses more. What you have to do is combine this awareness with critical questioning. "Does this place look strange?" "How did I get here" "Are these people that I know". If you asked this question while you were aware, the chance of you realizing how strange your situation is is much higher and thus realize you are dreaming. Similarily if you asked these questions with no awareness to back it up then it becomes a waste of time. So basically, ADA by its self is good for vivid dreams but useless for lucidity but ADA+questioning = lucidity. This is just my theory on it.
