Thread: I Cant Believe This

That's pretty crazy that those didn't click. It's weird that even something so obvious doesn't do the trick. Sometimes I cannot believe that I don't think to question when I have these goofy tasks or strange situations. Oh well, just keep on pluggin!

Keep up the good work SpiritWolf, and give yourself a gold star for getting so close. It helps to reward yourself for the progress you've made when trying to do something this rediculously hard, so consider the progress you've made and give yourself at least a 7 or an 8 for getting so close. This is my new grading system in action. I now rate myself in several categories each day such as dream recall and reality checks, so that if it takes a while to become lucid again I can at least view the progress I am making and remain positive. spiritwolf, i feel for you man. that dang library is haunting your mind! you know this means we must be moving in the right direction. i am also having a ton of semi-lucids recently. even to the point of knowing im dreaming but not being actually lucid. its very strange but it has been happening a LOT to me as well. hopefully this is a good sign that we are indeed slowly incorporating the idea of "dreaming" into our dreams.

my recall has been better than ever recently. im talking like large detailed dreams all night. i know its because ive been letting that saltcube timer make a tweet sound every 15 minutes. its keeping me somewhat alert in my dreams. hopefully i can tweak the volume to possibly get me lucid.

Haha, I've done that, too, except with astral projection. I dreamt that people were doubting its reality, and I was trying to explain it to them, and I thought "If only I could leave my body right now. Oh well, time for bed." Then as I dreamt I was going up my stairs I thought, "Man, these stairs are steep, maybe I should just astral-project myself up them," and that's what popped me out of my body.

Lucid, projection, tomayto, tomahto. I think it's got to do with instincts. Like, since I've started doing these reality checks, I generally find myself knowing when an hour has passed without looking at any clocks, and I do my checks then.

But that's pretty funny, stuff on your walls about dreams and everything.

yeah so far i havnt tried using the timer the way it says to use it; to actually induce a morning FA LD or whatever, so i dont even know if it works personally. but i sure know ill be using it everynight for recall. we should try using it really loud, like it says, with its first preset and post our results here.

Hey spiritofthewolf, dont feel alone, let me tell you about how stupid I felt after a dream I had a few weeks ago...... I'm outside next to a building with several people around me. I start levitating like 6 or 7 feet in the air and slowly come back down . I do this a couple more times and I turned to someone and said,"The reason I can fly is because I study LUCID DREAMING". this dream went on for a while longer, still doing my levitating trick and it never occured to me that I was dreaming......duhhhhh....I could have kicked myself when I woke up. All I could think was "me and my sub-conscious mind are going to have a long chat about some things today". Anyway, didnt want u to feel alone, at least we were thinking about lucid dreams!

you think thats bad? i had a non lucid dream a few weeks ago and i actually thought to myself i was dreaming. hah

This is quite interesting. You know that you are dreaming but your subconsciousness doesn't.
Its cool how one part knows whats going on where the other part refuses to.

I don't know!! All I know is that my aunt and uncle are paying for it, and I'm getting all the programs I want loaded for free (thanks to their computer savy friend, who is also building it)!! I can't wait, it's going to be SO SWEET I wanted a Mac though, for movie editing purposes, but the downside was that I wouldn't get free programs.

So, what have learned? FREE = GOOD

Hey, can I have your new laptop? Mine just got taken out by a lightning strike in my backyard, like 10 minutes ago. It's totaly fried, and that's what I was keeping my dream journal on! It's dead! I couldn't even turn it off, and then it started making this high-pitched whine, so I unplugged it and set it on top of my broken TV (lightning two months ago) and -- crap! -- next to my now BROKEN DIGITAL CLOCK!!! DAMNIT!!! (Sorry to hijack the thread, but this seemed as good a place as any to get that rant out.)

haha nice o'ner, no prob. i was openning a massive folder once and my hard drive made a horrific unusual grinding sound. i had no choice but to rip out the battery and when i turned it back on.....no detectable hard drive! i still have it, and the insides are all broke! i had to pay flippin 80 bucks i think for a new hdd.

DAMN! I'm pissed for you! Where the hell do you live where lighting strikes that close to you all the time? That's crazy

Jacksonville, FL. I think we're the lightning capital of the world. During the summer, we have "frequent deadly cloud to ground lightning" pretty much anytime it rains. In fact, here comes another storm now...

Do you have any idea how scary it is to be woken up from a deep sleep by a lightning bolt maybe five yards from you head?

Oh, btw, my stove/oven was killed in that last close strike to. I need a friggin lightning rod.

yes....yes i do. plus my bed is close to my window and im lying there hoping to god not to DIE!!

The closest I've ever been to lightening is when my neighbors tree got struck and landed on their garage
I really love watching lighting and storms though, I think they're amazing!

Monday Night: I had a dream that i was in a library [Jay dawg..again yes! haha] and I found this book that looked all \"Fantasy\" like..and it was about Lucid Dreaming..i remember opening the book and reading something about..\"This book will take your sub concious mind on a journey\" or something along those lines..and i remember thinking in my dream \"Maybe if i read alot of this book..I could induce a lucid dream when i go to sleep\" !!!!!! what the heck, how could i not know hahahahhaha

u know this makes sense, because it's something that you would probably do in real life. Nothing was really out of the ordinary there, it was just u going on about lucid dreams.

dude ive had dreams where i know im dreaming, i go aorund telling people, but dont do anything about it. my dream brain is retarded, i realized i was dreaming and i was like hey, ill do something cool, so i visuallized myself appearing in antarctica, it didnt work, and i forgot i was dreaming. why did i visualize myself in antarctica? how lame. why would i want to go to antarctica?
