Surreal Sounds
Hi all, not sure if this is the right place for this question so apologise in advance if it is not.
I've been trying to attain lucidity for a few nights now with the aid of a phone app which place binary beats & water sounds. Now for the previous two nights I have been waking up in the dead of night, or just before I wake up & have been hearing a sound like a baby is crying/calling. The sound feels so real, like it is with me and just after this when I am awake I fear to turn the other way for fear it might be in the room with me. I can turn around but the fear makes it difficult. Almost like a fear there may be a ghost watching me or something! I thought it was SP but I can move so it can't be that can it?
I just wanted to ask people on what they think is going on here? Am I close to lucidity or far from it?
Thanks.

Next time this happens get out of your bed!
You are dreaming that you are laying in your physical bedroom attempting to WILD. So yes you are very close to lucidity all you have to do is to realize that you already in the dream. Ironic isn't it? :D But now you know.
There is nothing to fear either except your own fear. You can just think logically that since it is a dream (and therefore not real) you can't get hurt.
But even if the dream reality is real in the sense that the beings you see are real beings not dependent on your brain, remember that you are just consciousness while you are there so fearing that the non-physical reality can hurt you is sort of like fearing that when you die playing World or Warcraft you will die for real.
Only your consciousness is there, so you have nothing to fear except that your fear itself will stop you from having your desired experience.
I also have to add something important to keep in mind. In the non-physical (dream) world we tend to not act like we do in our waking physical state. When we are in the physical world we are intellectual beings thinking through every step we take and are more analytical persons. In the non-physical (dream) world we act on and our experience is based on our very being. And since it is on the being level we will most likely experience what we fear. If we fear some monster will be there, it will.
If we fear that we somehow can get stuck in the dreamworld we will have an experience representing that. And also if you don't have an intent of what to do while you are there you will act on your fear. It's when the fear is gone, we can finally start to act the way we want. This might look like something bad and we can hate that it is this way, but in fact it's there to help us grow and learn faster. When we fully accept the fear and decide to face it, we can overcome it and evolve our being.
This applies to real life as well of course, but in the non-physical it's super important since we FULLY experience what we ARE and are given the oppurtunity to reflect on that.
So set your intention to face your fears and in this case a crying ghost baby and explore it and see what it represents.
Good luck! :sleepmeditate2:
