lucid dreaming help

hy friends i am new here and i am trying to lucid dream since 3 months now without having any success.
i am keeping a dream journal and trying wild technique twice a day one wen i go to sleep and one wen taking a day nap(reason for trying wild wn going to sleep is i cannot wake up and do wild i know my capacity i tried wbtb but 100% of the time i was unsuccessfull ). two time i felt humming and buzzing with a bright light but i got scared and ruin my attempt. wen i started wilds i use to have vibrations but now i dont. two days before i saw an article about ssild and i tried tht night nd i had realy very clear and vivid normal dreams like never before but non lucid the next day nothing happened and today i am going to try as well. one more thing i want to ask u guys is everyone talk about rem period of sleep i simply cant get tht .i tried wbtb after waking up never succeded nor had even a normal dream but wen i go to sleep i have dreams 4 to 5 every night but after 4 or 5 hours of sleep i normaly wake up and try any technique i never had any normal dream so wtf is rem it seems like opposite for me. i badly want a lucid dream please guys help me i know this is the right place to have lucid dreams as u people are experianced lucid dreamers and u all can make me reach the lucid state so please help me i need your help .thank you so much for reading i hope u guys will help me.

All right, let's start at the beginning here:

As a beginner, it's very good to have a dream journal, but you should probably not start with WILD until you have a feel for the lucid dream. It helps to know when to transition and also boosts lucidity.

Using WILD right when you fall asleep is not a good idea, since that's the time when WILD fails the most.This is probably why you don't experience hypnagogic hallucinations anymore. If you have your heart set on it though, try Woodstock's NREM WILD guide.

Now, on your WBTB attempts, are you totally focused on dreaming after waking up? This is important, because waking up and falling back asleep like you always do isn't going to help. You have to know that this is for your dreams, not just "Oh, I woke up, now I'm going to fall back asleep now." Also, how long are you staying up on those attempts?

I'm having a similar problem. I'm using the wbtb wild technique. I feel all the telltale signs, numbness, vibrations, hypnagogic images, but I can't ever get that transition to complete. I just lay there focusing for hours on end. The hypnagogic swirls never materialize into anything. I would gladly accept a DILD, but I never attain lucidity. I just have very vivid dreams that I recall and write in my journal but I never know they're dreams until I wake up.

So you experience HH for hours on end with nothing?

That's right. Last night I woke up at 4:30 in the morning. I stayed up for about 15 minutes and then laid back down. I visualized myself walking down the stairs of my high school and pictures myself walking the rows of lockers and the gym...all over the school. Kept visualizing my hands in front of my face and how my legs would feel walking all over. A few times I feel the vibrations get more intense and the swirls become more vivid, but it never gets past that. I ended up giving up around 6:00 in the morning and passed out. Had a vivid dream for sure but nothing close to lucidity. I feel like I'm stupidly doing something wrong.

It's one of two things:

1. You're not falling asleep. Relax! WILD is about falling asleep while being aware.

2. You're fallen asleep, but you are dreaming of your WILD attempt. Extremely annoying. Try getting or launching yourself out of your body in the middle of an attempt after some time. Often you're already dreaming.

This is my favorite WILD tutorials because of how it seems to encompass all types of WILDs. It explains why some methods work and some don't as well as the fact that your WILDing will be different than others WILDs.

My big problem with WILDs is the fact that it is hard to get straight into something that you have never done before, so it is hard to WILD without first DILDing. Some people jump right into it with no problem, but since you have been trying for 3 months, I would say that it isn't going to happen for you. I put as much effort into WILD and DILD in order to LD at every possible circumstance. My DILD tech is my WILD tech and vice versa, if my WILD fails, then I have a chance for WILD. I doubt I would have been able to WILD ever (I have had about 80 WILDs, 50 of them DEILDs estimate) had I not experienced the dream world first hand, especially the feeling of waking up while knowing that that is what is happening. This gives you a good idea of the "feelings" that you are going for.

hey thanx for ur reply .i will learn a lot from u actualy i tried DILD for about 15 days as well but as sreed628 said i had really vivid dreams and i remember them all but never realize i am dreaming i have 4 dream signs before going to bed i use to tell myself tht if i see sign no 1 ill realize i am dreaming then i saw tht dream sign bt i did'nt realized anything this goes on for a week other day i told my self if i see sign no 1 ill realize..... and if i see sign no 2 ill....... and if i see sign no 3.... if i see sign no 4...... i saw all my 4 dreams sign together but did'nt realized i am dreaming and till yet i am seeing every dream sign in my dreams but not realizing . last night i did ssild and i got vibrations then i decided to go for a wild i saw some random colours and ended up i saw my 3 dream signs in dream plus i saw my self writing in dream and after tht it seems fuzzy i couldnt read it and i saw my pic in mobile also it was highly blurry but then also i didnt realised i am dreaming. :(
