Problem falling asleep
Ever since I discovered this site, I've been very very excited about having a lucid dream/OBE. I've mostly been trying to have an OBE. But the problem is, i get relaxed, and when i start feeling the numbing feeling from my feet, my mind is still clear, but i'm not able to get any further, shortly after this, i'm restless, unable to goto sleep at all. I lay in bed for a while, trying to relax agan. But it might be that i'm just to excited about haveing a OBE..I'm not sure. I wish I wouldn't have this problem...lol

Maybe you should not try so hard. If you find that since gaining this information about OBE's and such your mind is trying to do to many things at once. Maybe just focus on sleep for now and LD's and then try for the OBE. I don't know you may also want to try OBE when you are not tired. It makes since to me that you may have better success if you try after you have slept for about 6 hours or maybe late afternoon when you try to nap. Worth a try...

Its natural...dont wory... it will go away, I was like this and the next day i didint get that mutch sleep so i slept great. Later your gona get a bit bored of it and will think less but still alot...after gradual post reading youl have so much information that it will be enought and you will read only a few hundret threads a day instead of non stop reading... a few days after that your gona become bored with LD'ing but dont give up!!!if you dont have anything to do while your waiting go to the off topic discuttions...located near the botom of

Using computers frequently is known to cause insomnia and make it difficult to fall asleep. Just something about that screen staring you in the face.
I would guess that probably in the not too distant future, a large portion of the population will suffer from chronic insomnia due to heavy computer use.
There is nothing that I know to do, other than join the club.

hey
it seems if i'm all that tired and actually be hoping and waiting to dream, i won't sleep well and won't lucid dream. but if i get myself really tired before going to bed (staying up later, having a hard day behind yourself, reading a book) then i'll have deep sleeps and "strong" dreams.
the longer and clearer my dreams are, the bigger the chance i will lucid dream. it alsmost seems like i "get" enought time to realize i'm dreaming......
anyway, LUCID DREAMING IS ADDICTIVE!!!!
