I have finally decided to get a small piece of paper and write am I dreaming? On it. Hopefully this will remind me to RC during the day. Any suggestions for improvement or how I should this differently?

How about an app? There are many apps designed specifically for lucid dreaming, you can set them to remind you to do RCs multiple times per day. Be advised, though, the reminder can be helpful, but do not become lazy and rely only on it to do RCs. You have to remain alert and (self) aware throughout the day as well.
Over time the more you RC on your own the less you will need a reminder you will have set your own internal alarm that alerts you when things might be suspiciously like a dream! Reviewing how many and when you did RC before bed will also help good luck attaining lucidity.
Forgot where I had posted this. Thanks. I've managed to nearly have two DILDs and one WILD this past week. Two of the attempts actually happened this past weekend. So I guess I'm getting close to having one hopefully.
