ive heard by asking yourself: "am i dreaming?" often, it help u with ur lucid dreams, but the thing is, i tend to over do things like that, and i end up trying to hard. anything else u can do, or any simple thing u can do b4 bed to help LD occur more often?
"am i dreaming?" can just be words. Try to really mean it when you say it.Quote:

When I was first starting to lucid dream, I used to whisper 'This is all a dream' as I fell asleep, I had one of my fist lucid dreams that way.
I had my first good lucid dream by constantly thinking about it, looking stuff up on it, and doing reality checks.... all of which failed horribly for me.
So I quit trying, and within 2 days I had a good Lucid Dream.
Sometimes the best way is to just not try.
A possible reason for this is, when your constantly thinking about it, and keeping it on your mind, your not really giving it time to sink into your sub-conscious, which I believe is the part responsible for dreaming.By not thinking about it, its drifting into your sub-conscious where it will be accessed while dreaming more easily than if it were in your normal Conscious.
I started having lucid dreams when I started to believe in ghosts and became more spiritual
Ok, i method i used to try was to name objects in your bedroom before going off to sleep, while you are awake and standing in your room naming objects and while you are asleep also, try this for a couple of weeks, hopefully you'll probably realize that you may have some stuff missing from your room, or naming the objects seems too hard, and realise you are dreaming.

Best way for me to obtain lucidy is to whisper this until you fall asleep "I will be aware that I am dreaming upon entering a dream".
It can be possible to try too hard, but I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing when you're trying to go lucid. It does take time, but anything that you obsess about eventually finds its way into your dreams (ex-girlfriend, video games, lucidity). As for reality checks, one easy way to really believe it is to incorporate something in your environment as evidence that you are/aren't dreaming. Digital watches and writing, light switches, etc. I keep a dice in my pocket and throw it up in the air every time I do a reality check. When I am dreaming it always reacts strangely to gravity. One other thing you might try is the wake/back to bed method. Very effective.
just a question, do you need the mp3s to obtain lucidity?
do as many reality checks as humanly possible, and just stay relaxed about it. being too over excited, or too stressed out about it will slow you down greatly.
also, try and get to at least one remembered dream a night, it helps.
