Was this Lucid dreaming?

Today, I was dreaming about:
I was going with friend to school to check his grades, when we were crossing the street I noticed an strange car and I though : "Hey that car is too strange, it occupies all the road, and its coming toward us", that after that I say:"Why are we walking to school, it is too far, even if we dont use the car at leat we should be in a bus or taxi!" after that I did a reality check (I´m still a newbie with LD, so I still practice reality checks) it was the breath through nose, I was succesful, I was like: "OMG I´m dreaming" , and once again I though about what I could do in a dream, but I also , I dont know I said well lets go to school and check the grades (I mean I was still going to help my friend) . So I was wishing please the school should be nearer, and we appeared near it, then he ](friend) went to check the grades and I saw my brother and we started playing but I was still thinking about wow I can do alot of flips and I can jump high.

My question is:

Was i really lucid? Or my mind tricked me? Because I though "Wow I´m dreaming" but I didnt think something like: "What time is it in real life?" or "Is school time?" .

if youre ever really lucid there will be no question about it. although it is possible to dream about being lucid, i think you could have gotten lucid and just lost lucidty at some point.

That's the only thing that matters. If you know you're dreaming, it's a lucid dream. If you think "Hmm, I might be dreaming" instead, but don't realize that it really is a dream, it's a semi-lucid dream.

As Jay Dawg said, you propably lost your lucidity soon after you became aware. That has happened to me many times - the dream just takes you.

Ok thanks, It was strange (the dream), but at least I now know that I can do a succesful reality check :-P

Yeah. Lucid is having the knowledge that you are dreaming. If you knew you were dreaming, it was lucid. If dreaming you knew you were, then lucid it was.
