Your SSILD experiences
So, I've been hearing a lot of good thing about this technique. I've heard it is easy, it doesn't require a lot of practice like WILD and that you can have lucid dreams very often if you preform this technique. So, is anyone practicing it? I would really like to hear your personal experiences with it :)

Tried it for the second time this night. No lucids yet.

Hopefully try it tonight, sounds like a good method definitely gonna try it a few times. :cheeky:

Tried it yesterday, and got lucid on the first try (though there might be more variables, as I had not tried LDs for some time so I spent lot of time that day motivating myself and questioning reality to catch up, so I think that also contributed).
The dream itself started with a false awakening, I immediately realized I was dreaming because there was some creepy horror girl on my bed (I don't know why that was my first though after seeing her, but, God, I am grateful that it was), I naturally immediately teleported away to some more tranquil place where the dream ended after couple seconds (as expected from one of the first lucids), and I woke into paralysis.
It definitely has better effects than any other method I have tried (all my other LDs came from DILD and there were maybe 4 in total, over course of a year, so... one on first night is a huge improvement).

Tried it 4 or 5 times, but never became lucid because of it. It seems to make it harder for me to fall asleep and I haven't had enough time recently to actually do a WBTB.

It works sometimes but I think the main reason it works is because of the placebo effect.
If you read the thread and saw the 'What will happen next' part telling you what will happen after you've done the technique notice how it doesn't mention you might just wake up and have no LDs? It only says you'll have LDs or FAs and this is why I think it works sometimes. You expect to have LDs and FAs after doing the technique so you actually get them.

I tried it a bit and it got me 1 FA in 3 tries so to me it looks promising...
-
I've tried it this morning, no success :/ I will try it tomorrow :)
-
Most likely you will start in fa's

I think it all depends on what kind of WBTB you have (at least for me it seems to). If you have a good WBTB this is the perfect supplement to get your brain in LD mode. If I have a sleepy WBTB this doesn't really help me much. It seems to increase my awareness and cause DILDs when it does work. It's definitely worth trying, especially if you don't have a knack for other techniques.

It works! I just had my most vivid lucid using this technique and I don't think it's a placebo effect, I was still doing the cycle in my dream and opened my eyes because I felt a bit different and boom my TV was on and it was in a different place, straight away lucid it was a real long lucid as well, I'd recommend you try this technique it seemed to easy I just woke up 6 hours after sleeping did wbtb for like 2 min did technique then next min really vivid lucid :D
