First I like to say that I really like DV. Especially the people on here, the information that's available and willingness to help.
So thank you all!
My question: Since childhood I woke up after I 've had a dream every night. Sometimes four or five times in a row, always right after a dream.
If I wake up I'm almost fully conscious and it usually takes about 2/3 minutes to get back to sleep.
Is it the perfect base for DILD's?
Good recall and awareness is great for DILD, but maybe you want to work on MILD. As waking up naturally so many times and falling asleep that fast, you can do visualizations as you re-fall asleep and it will help you to gain more lucids :)
My recall has always been good. Without trying I remember 1 or 2 dreams per night also since childhood. I've kept a DJ for about 2 months a while ago and was able to remember 4/5 dreams on average per night.
My awareness in dreams might be the problem. I've tried RC's and ADA but I don't like practising them during the day. Feels like an obsessive tick or something, no disrespect ofc to all who try it!
Of the 3 LD's I've had 1 was induced by intention (or luck) the other 2 where spontaneous.
I was hoping waking up multiple times per night after dreams almost fully consious would be perfect for DILDs. But you might be right, It could be more perfect for MILDs.

Waking up after every dream sounds like the perfect setup for DIELD (the easiest method in my opinion, if the conditions are right)
I'd advise looking it up, but ill gloss it here. Basically, if you can catch yourself while you are waking up, and manage not to move at all, you can jump right back into the previous dream. Give it a try?
Funny, I've read a lot about almost all the lucid dreaming techniques out there except on DEILD. I have no idea why.
I just read two tutorials on DEILD and this indeed seems to fit well. I'm going to gather some more information and
start tonight. I'll see it after a month or two of this technique fits me well.

If learning how to have LDs was a marathon than me discovering DEILD would be equal to finding an F1-car parked on the side of the street. I think if you experiment with DEILD for some time learning your own method of staying aware for those critical minutes after you wake up, then you should be on the right track.
I'm looking forward to the next couple of weeks to get to know this technique. It's gonna be fun!
There's a whole bunch of options, like fild, ssild, deild. ssild will help you dild.
I would probably suggest WILD. Although it is one of the more difficult techniques to master, it is my personal favorite. The transition from waking to dreaming never ceases to amaze me :) with practice, I find it to be the most awarding, and promising technique
Woah yea I would definitely recommend DEILD, as many others have already suggested. You seem to have a really good set up for it since you already wake up after each dream. Definitely give it a try man. Its also a really good technique to start out with because it brings results in fast, especially since you've already got the "waking up after each dream" part down. Like really, that alone takes alot of people more time than usual considering how tired you are when you have those micro-awakenings.
Man, I'm jealous. If I can fall back to sleep in an HOUR I'm lucky. The only person who I've ever known who can fall asleep moments after her head hits the pillow is my wife. That is such an incredible blessing and a fantastic aid to lucid dreaming. I predict you will rack up LD's at a prodigious rate. Let us know how you do, and what method works best in your situation.

Thanks everybody for your thoughts and advice. DILD feels really good and seems to fit me and my sleeping patterns very well.
First night, I woke up after 4 dreams and managed to lay still for 2 times. But no succes yet, I think mainly beaucose I have to work on holding a better awareness when I wake up after a dream. I'm so used to turn around and go back to sleep when I wake up after a dream. But that pattern might not be hard to break cose when I woke up last night after a dream I immediately remembered to stay still. And it did worked it's way thru into my dreams beaucose I kept on dreaming about strange games I had tot play and win so I could stay still when I wake up in RL.
No LD yet but it feels like this could work for me. I'm trying this for the next 2 months to find that out.
Surprisingly, DoubleHelix, I am the same way. It takes me a very long time to fall asleep from fully awake, but that's the catch with DIELD. The fact that you don't move leaves some mental switch off, and makes it easy to jump right into a dream.
Also, paulo, false awakenings are common with DEILD, so make sure to RC before accepting failure.
Yes I noticed! The first night I tried DEILD it seemed that I constantly woke up. But those were largely false awakenings.Quote:

I have a small question about waking up after a dream. When I wake up I always move, but always fall asleep within a minute. Only when I really start to think, pay to much attention to something or move to much I canīt fall right back asleep. Is it really necessary for me to lie completely still and keep my eyes closed?
For the most part, yes. I've heard of people who can toss and turn a tiny bit and still manage to succeed, but that's less common.Quote:

Yes I am referring to DEILD. I've already sent an email to DV in which I asked whether the topic title can be changed to 'Is DEILD perfect for me?' instead of 'Is DILD perfect for me?'. I hope this is possible because I want to try Deild for the next two months and report my findings and questions in this topic.
Maybe it's a good idea to try DEILD for about two weeks with the tossing and turning and see what the outcome is. Beaucose that is more natural to my sleeping behaviours. If it's negative then I can change the tossing and turning to laying completly still and see from there. In this way I can find out whether it has an affect on my efforts of becoming lucid through Deild. Or is it a better idea to skip that and immediately start focusing on laying completely still and not moving my eyes?
