Pretty straight-forward question. I know most of the drills. I figured this might be helpful to new-comes and myself alike.
What to do in order to increase chances of Lucid dreaming. :) I'm looking forward to hear replies.

I think it all boils down to: paying attention. Being tuned in, present, engaged.
Some other things: cultivate happiness, positive thoughts. Work on access to memory. Visualize, meditate.
Hey there,
I agree with FryingMan. I think 'paying attention to your dreams' and 'wanting to lucid dream' are still the two main factors. Keep it fun and interesting, don't let it become a chore or a source of frustration. Find some techniques you like to try and play around with them. Generally speaking, what we pay attention to, we get better at. That counts for dreaming and lucid dreaming just as much as it counts for anything else, in my opinion.

Keeping a daily journal will help you to build up your ability to recall events in your life. It can also help you to recognize elements of your waking life to better differentiate from your dreams.
Here is my short list of daytime things to do that would ease the onset of consistent LD'ing:
- Make the LD'ing Fundamentals a part of your everyday life.
- Read LaBerge's Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming.
- Learn MILD, and incorporate its techniques into your waking life.
- Think about LD'ing as often as you can, and not just the technical stuff; really look forward to your next LD'ing session with imagination and excitement, making an event of it.
- Do your RC's with sincerity.
I'm sure there're more, but that's what I have at the moment. Also, I doubt any of these are news to you, Dthoughts, but it does seem a good idea to get all this stuff in one place.
Thank you for this Sageous. I did not expect you to notice this thread even so it comes as a pleasant suprise to have someone like you give an input. Which is very good input indeed. I'm reading through the Fundamentals and can feel it working already. Those are fundamentals that I have started to pick up on lately, and ur thread serves as a reminder and crystallize their importance. I also like the other things you mention in the thread a lot and it has gifted me some interesting goals to pursue.
