What is your favorite and most successful method? Does WBTB work the best?

My favorite method is learning to live in the now, to pay attention to life (both waking/dreaming), to reflect upon my experiences, to be vigilant for the dream state, and to work on access to memory.

I like to fall asleep using SSILD and RC when I wake up to catch the FAs it creates. WBTB has never worked real well for me.

Personally with all my research I can simply confess that dolphin makes me feel like I have learned nothing. Haha.

I think that wbtb is an amazing supplement, but if not used with a techniques, it is just getting out of bed. I really like my approach of "I'm dreaming", the idea that I am always dreaming until proven otherwise. This is kind of a new way of saying it, but here is a thread I made about the things I think are important to lding.

      http://www.dreamviews.com/dreamviews...e-told-me.html

This isn't just a "personal story" like my other threads, but more of a list of things that I think should be taught to lders right from the beginning to get the full experience of lding.

Ok, thanks. I'm trying WBTB, but I just stop the alarm at one in the morning and go back to bed right away.

I am trying WBTB, but also with a dream journal and reality checks. Thanks!

      Being not doing.

Instead of focusing on trying to GET a lucid dream, I focus on BEING lucid.

And do the actions daily that allows me to be in a more conscious state in GENERAL.

And then when I fall asleep it just happens naturally.

But to summarise what I do in short, it's meditation and implementing the principles of meditation in my everyday life.

Just for fun I can describe my personal journey of learning:

      Victim Ego Mindset:

As a beginner you just take alot of action and test different things to get EXPERIENCE. At the start you are most likely in a low consciousness beginner frame where you are wanting, needing you don't feel like you could get a lucid dream and you are most likely going to slack of the action. And this is where you should not focus on result at all, just focus on enjoying taking action be interested in your dreams, recall them, try tons of methods just for the fun of doing it!

      Superiority Ego Mindset:

Then you will start get some experience and a sense of how your own mind works and you will get some result and you will probably get a little cocky and think that you have found the best METHOD, until it stops working.. Then you find a new one and you constantly make the misstake of being in your EGO and not the process of learning which is based on ACTION not RESULT. But you get result so you are an intermediate and now you are in a mid level of consciousness and you are in an egoistic, taker frame, you just want the lucid dream you don't appreciate the practise and the actions in themselves. So even if you get result you will enjoy the elevation of your self-image rather than the experience itself.

      Present of The Process Mindset:

Then when you are so numbed by trial and erorr and accept that result isn't in your control you will start to focus on what is. And that is what have been staring in your face all the time and that is ACTION. You adopt the right beginner mindset again of loving to take action but this time already with experience and knowledge at your disposal. You are now so aware of how your own mind works that you start to enter a flow state, a present state where result is automatic but not because of your ability to induce lucidity but because of your ability to take action and enjoy the action for itself. This is a state of higher level of consciousness and you are giving, loving, being. You are indifferent to failure and indifferent to result. You enjoy the action and the process itself and because of that you get result, and you view everything as one, a part of the whole, you don't judge your own process, you observe it. Nothing is better or worse, everything just is what it is.

TL: DR As a beginner you take everything personally and the root of the problem is not the lack of result but the lack of action, as an intermediate you take personal credit for your actions success, as an advanced you just observe and surrender to the process of action.

But if I could turn back time and give my own beginner self one advice it would be meditation. Check my guide in my description.

Have fun and good luck on your journey.
