Great technique for lucid dreams

Well here's a technique I use all the time if I'm not using a mantra it's this. Basically lay down focus on your breathing ladi da da. Get into a rythm I'm sure you all have your own breathing techniques anyway once your good and settled into bed or whatever your on bring your attention to you body feel everything you can feel don't move just aknowledge your physical filter feel the bed beneath you. Maybe the way your chest rises. do this for about 60 seconds then move to your hearing focus on any sounds Internal or external for roughy 60 seconds. Now bring your attention to your eyes focus on the black behind your eyes or your minds eye for you guessed it... 60 seconds then repeat all these steps about 3 times and fall asleep you should either wake up in sleep paralysis or go straight into a lucid dream almost always. If you do this after about 4 hours of dreamless sleep I guarantee you will get something. Sweet dreams brotha

I think that counting in this technique is helpful for me. In SSILD you supposed to not count, just drift with your mind, and I can't focus enough because of that. So it's worth a try! I had a last LD doing that but I don't know if this was a thing or sth else. Also I'm doing that while running, changing sense every song. So I like this idea. But that's true, it's very similar to SSILD.

It doesn't matter which senses you focus on or how long you focus on each individual one. As long as you're focusing on a sense until you're dreaming, you're good! This is because the focus required to do the technique is what makes it work.

My personal variation of SSILD is to simply watch the back of my eyelids 100% of the time continuously until I'm dreaming. Doing this can sometimes make your eyes sore or give you a headache which is where I think the whole rotating senses thing originated. I've trying only hearing, too, but not as much as only seeing. I forget how well it worked for me. I haven't tried only feeling, yet. I should try these things to see how well they compare to only seeing, which works well for me.

I don't know what a "ssild" is but I have done this for years if you don't want to try it then don't my friend but don't try to ruin it for others. I am not sharing this for glory only to assist those willing to help themselves.

Guys, not everyone knows what all of the techniques are. So if somebody has a technique that works well for them that they want to share, they might not don't know that there is a similar well established technique out there. So, I don't blame the Jvanvick95 for sharing. Everyone is entitled to their own variation.

Dolphin's sight only sense focus could be pretty strong. One sense we use all the time and take for granted is sight, often people hear and touch, smell and taste things without even realising it or eing aware of them; eyes however, we always know what we are looking at. I also guess that if focussing on only one sense as you fall asleep you are setting the importance of that sense up for your unconscious mind as it builds a dream for you, which in turn might work in the dream being first visual and then the other senses falling in around that. Sight being used more recognizably would then in turn be the thing that tells your mind 'hey something is happenning, check this out' and brings you to lucidity.

I am no expert but this would be the way I see it working on paper.
