Another question for the experienced

If im not attempting a D.E.I.L.D which is my new fav way or trying to get lucid i am relying on the only way i get lucid which is through D.I.L.Ds.
Ofcourse i fail alot and get angry as in alot or 90% of my dreams i never question why im here? Or why is this happening or where am i etc i just go with it even if its obvious for examplei could be at home in my dream but it doesnt look like my home yet i never question it.....if in every dream i question most things i see or do then my lucid count would be insane.
I never question or ask why im doing things in my real life because even tho i love my life its also quiet basic....i take the dogs out and my work is always near enough the same every shift so not much goes on in my real life in order for me to question it.....i guess im asking what can i do....what practise? I appreciate whoever reads and replys thanks

The reason it's difficult and unreliable to get lucid through DILD alone is because we're essentially programmed to miss these cues that we're in a dream. While dreaming the "logic center" of the brain is virtually turned off and anything that may seem out of the ordinary to us while we're awake can seem completely rational while dreaming.

The way we combat this is, obviously, through practice. Are you doing anything while awake to prepare for DILDs? Chances are you won't get lucid just by knowing what it is, you have to put some effort into it while awake. This is primarily through reality checks throughout the day or by practicing something like all day awareness. There's various techniques that you can do while awake that can help induce a DILD, but these are the most common. And of course, if you haven't already I'd suggest taking a look at the DILD tutorial
in the wiki.

Thanks for.the advice and you make a very good point that we cannnot rely on just dilds and i totally agree.
I do alot of reality checks and i focus on awareness exercises to keep myself alert when in bed.I do quiet alot of different exercises....and lately im going to re-start a mild technique as iv heard they are best for if you want to dild but at the moment im stuck on 1 lucid a week but iv recently read somewhere that the best time to get lucid is roughly 90mins before you usualy wake up in the morning....simular to a WBTB.
Im mainly exited about training myself to remember to stay still when i wake to re-enter a dream....i think if i master that i will be a happy chappy =) thanks for the reply and advice =)
