Getting closer I think...

Lately I have been focusing my reality checks on my hands. Frequently throughout the day I do several reality checks. I start by counting fingers, poking my palm, and trying to "use the force" on things. I finish with a nose pinch.
Anyway, I had a dream where my hand played a prominant role in the dream. I needed to signal a driver backing a car up. I showed him a closed fist for stop, and waved him toward me to go. As I was waving him toward me I noticed that I was waving excitedely as if greeting a close friend. The context of the signal was totaly out of place so thought about my hand more carefully. Just as it started to dawn on me why I might be staring at my hand the dream escaped. I had the feeling it was real close :?

It does sound like you are getting very close to realizing you need to do an RC to enter LD :)

Here's something you could try to move things along. I've noticed that my thoughts and actions within 1 hour of laying down *almost always* appear in my dreams. Since the Hand RC is producing some result, try to stick with it for awhile - don't change it - and try to do that particular RC several times within an hour of trying to LD.
