Opinions needed!
Last night i went to bed....instead of going to sleep i tried a meditation/OBE/WILD attempt.I looked alot into astral projection *OBE* and know of all the signs before the transition stage.
During my attempt after about 40mins my body went very hot even tho the room wasnt hot.I think i remember reading that when your body shuts down before sleep it heats up maybe as a defense mechanizm or something that the body does....eneways i couldnt stand the heat anymore so i just turned over and wheh i did i felt so much cooler and comfy....due to this i must of fell to sleep rather quick.
That night i had 2 lucid dreams.....my question is
Because of how quickly i fell asleep as to my usual tossy turner night do you think thats why i became lucid due to hiw quick i fell to sleep?
Thankyou =)

It was likely due to the intention and effort you did before going to sleep. That you fell asleep quickly probably assisted you becoming lucid a lot too. Your intention to have an OBE/WILD was probably more if not the very last conscious thought of yours, that carried it's effects to your dreams. It was fresh in your mind. Also your heightened awareness probably had a great impact on your attempt as well.
The heat could have been you just getting hot. Never heard of heat- Hypnagogic Hallucinations before, but it could be that too.

Awareness is often depicted as light or even fire in the old mysteries and these are just analogies for us to relate to, because the true experience of consciousness can't be explained. When you start to get deeper into meditation you will start to feel different sensations, one of these can be heat because your consciousness becomes more active. If someone would scan your brain at these moments they would see that there would be a heightened activity in the pre-frontal cortex the region of the brain that governs well-being, self-awareness and the higher thinking processes.
I used to have this problem too, getting so warm that it felt like I was inside a sauna. I got scared at first because it felt like I had a fever. But then I read up chi and the way that the eastern philosophies viewed energy and I started to visualize the energy move down into my legs and arms and the rest of the body. Then the heat somehow got evened out and I was no longer distracted by the heat, in fact, I started to view the heat as consciousness flooding my body.
I recommend that you check out some anime series like HunterXHunter, Naruto, Avatar and then practise moving the energy within your body. ;)
Energy + Intention = Action
