Am I on the good way?

I've began trying to attain lucidity yesterday.

I read about Lucidity for 1 hour before I got to sleep, and kept trying to think 'I'll remember I'm dreaming, I'll know that I am sleeping, etc' and I don't remember having drifted off - So I probably started sleeping thinking of that.

Then when I woke up, I immediatly thought "I'm awake" and did a reality check. Keep in mind I would never usually remember to do something immediatly after waking up, so I think I've had the whole 'Try to remember you're sleeping' thing in my mind for the whole night.

I'm gonna do this until I finally realise I'm in a dream. I'm gonna read the forum here today, hopefully to find out beginner techniques.

Sounds to me like you're on the right track. After all, nothing at all happened for the whole first week I was trying. I still have trouble remembering to do a reality check when I wake up. But then, I'm still kinda new at this, having only had 1.5 LDs. (I like the .5, quite accurate)

I just had to reply for the last thing you said, though. You are from Quebec (Canada Rules!), and yet I only wish half the internet used English as well as you. You have nothing to worry about in terms of communication.

Be optimistic, don't give up! (Wait, I think that's Seeker's line...)

Great, thanks. Today I couldn't sleep so much as there was a pipe leaking (couldn't find where), woke up and the floor was all filled with water (I mean, under the actual floor there was water =()
