Question Better ways to induce a lucid dream?

I haven't been able to practice much recently, but when I started trying, I went on doing reality checks, keeping a journal, etc. for just over 8 months and didn't manage to induce a single LD. I have dreams that manage to seem real enough that I don't realize it was a dream until it's over and it disappoints me that I couldn't realize it sooner. I'm wondering what ways I'm able to induce a lucid dream and/or being able to realize I'm in one (especially if the dream is some sort of panic situation where I might be running) as I've tried everything from Awareness Checks to Meditation. I'd also like to know how long it took you to inducr your first LD. Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem. I tried MILD and DILD for about a year with only a handful of lucid dreams. Now i almost exclusively practice WILD with more success.

I noticed you were sitting here clueless with no answers, so I recorded this. It really is a widely asked question, and the answer is pretty broad. I hope this helps you at least a bit and anyone else.

Just pointing you in the right direction. Forgive me for I am also using it as an excuse to get back in front of the camera, I miss the good ol' days

Thanks for the tips! I haven't been on DreamViews for a while due to college, but I decided to start trying to Lucid Dream again. Hopefully I get better results this time.
