In general, would going back to sleep doing SSILD cycles boost the performance of a WBTB?

Pretty much what the title says. Would falling asleep with SSILD increase the success rate of a WBTB compared to falling asleep with MILD, basic WILD, etc?

i think you cant say it like this. SSILD same like MILD or WILD are induction techniques. which one works best with you depends on you. some try SSILD and have a lucid in the next 2 or 3 nights. some use SSILD as their standard technique and have success over a long time and i also know people that just seem to dont understand properly and only get vivid dreams out of it. but the same with MILD and WILD etc. what ever works for you
i had very good success rates with ssild. i really like the technique because its kind of simple. you dont think about lucid dreaming and dont have to borderline between sleep and awake you just do your circles until you get the feeling and then just fall asleep. but for me in the end was too much of a hassle. wake up enough and concentrate and focus on the circles.

i think what i do now would be more or less considered MILD even thou for me its not a technique anymore but i know how it should feel. i need a previous dream the more vivid and long the better. i focus on how it felt and where it was obvious that i was dreaming. i concentrate on getting lucid the next dream and what i want to do and fall asleep while doing it and when i do it right i get lucid at some point in the dream just like that. this is faster/easier for me even tho maybe a little less success rate because i dont do a proper WBTB and everything. but if i really really want and need to get lucid desperately i would do a proper wbtb and would try ssild probably.

but if you ask WBTB or WBTB+SSILD your chances are ofcorse higher with WBTB+SSILD but you normally do always something with the WBTB and not on its own right?

I've found for myself that it is the WBTB that increases the effectiveness of techniques, no matter which one. It alters your brain chemistry and helps you naturally be more aware. The technique then will provide you with means to properly focus that awareness on recognizing the dreamstate.

Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is.
