Hrm. There is so many, yet so few. It all boils down to your state of mind. Would you care to narrow it down? Are you looking for beginner tips or advanced? At what stage?

In my brief time of LD training I have dabbled in WILD enough to realize that it's going to take time to master it.

My tip is to persevere and to enjoy the process. My most lucid events have come from extended WILD attempts that were filled with amazing hypnagogic imagery and then led to DILDs after falling asleep.

Another tip might be to make sure you get good sleep.

I'm not sure how to get started

should I do body scan or visualize counting numbers to begin with?

I always start with mindful breathing......counting to 20 works for me. I then scan my body from head to toe. As I scan back up the other way, I let each part disappear.

While I have not experienced a true WILD yet, I have had some very cool hypnagogic experiences, including three partial OBEs. A few times I have spent extended periods of time in that state until morning. Those times have left me feeling vibrant and refreshed, as if I had slept for hours.

You need wbtb for easy wild. Unless you are sleep depraved. Naps or polyphasic works very well.
