Is it worth it to train prospective memory

My apologies if this is a stupid question or has already been answered, I'm still getting accustom to searching this site.

I am wondering about whether or not it is worth while to train prospective memory if I have not yet identified any dream signs.

I am relatively new to this, but have been keeping a dream journal and practicing reality checks throughout the day. However, I am yet t to identify any dream signs, so I am wondering what the point to training prospective memory is if I don't have any dream signs to try to remember in my dreams.

Also if anyone has any tips about identifying dream signs I would love to hear them.

Hi Shingles. Identifying dream signs can be very helpful, but you have to record a lot of dreams to gather information on your personal dream signs before they become useful. In order to do this training your ability to remember as much detail as possible will also be very helpful.

However most dream signs can be sporadically present in your dreams. For instance, celebrities show up in my dreams fairly often (Sylvester Stallone showed up recently) but not often enough for that dream sign to trigger a reality check. Right now I'm focusing on 2 things that show up very often in my dreams but they are very common in real life: The sky and when I feel negative emotions (anger, frustration, sadness, etc). I am often outside in my dreams therefore I try to make it a habit of looking at the sky when I go outside and doing a reality check. I do the same when I feel negative emotions. I've had success with both in the past.
