Random Lucid
For the past couple of months my recall has been very poor and I had become discouraged about ever attaining lucidity. Admittedly I do not practice the mental tasks very much and rely mostly on reality checks throughout the day. Lately I have been doing fewer checks per day and just last night decided to just give it a rest. (I am constantly thinking about lucid dreaming and visiting Dreamviews almost nightly.)
So I went to bed without visiting our site or trying any of the preperation techniques I have learned here. The only thing I did different was take a nap this morning. Generally I sleep five to six hours and rarely nap during the day. Yesterday was very busy for me and as usual I slept only five hours last night. I was so tired this morning that at ten a.m. I took a two hour nap and had the best lucid of my experience so far. (Check it out in Lucid Experiences postings!)
Here is my question:
Do I have to get more sleep to continue going lucid? Or was it the combination of the nap plus relaxing my efforts that got these results?
Thank you in advance for any insight you may have to offer.

I have no idea why that would happen. If you don't think about having a lucid dream, you have one. It seems to happen to me a lot, and I've always wondered why.
