Lucid Experts and Your Datura Trip Experiences

Okay, so first off, I’ve done hours of research about Datura and I’m perfectly aware of all its negative feedback and health warnings and the dangers of using it, etc etc. So please don’t tell me about them again.

For those of you who don’t know, Datura is a plant that when ingested in high quantities, you have wild hallucinations. Except you don’t know they’re hallucinations. You just think they are perfectly normal. This got me thinking about Lucid Dreaming, and learning to realize odd things in your dreams.

So, Lucid Experts, have you ever had a Datura trip and realized, “hey, these are hallucinations because I’m tripping,” and then have some sort of lucid datura trip?

So this is what I was thinking: writing myself a note that said "Dear Louie, you smoked datura. You are hallucinating" and leaving it in my pocket, in hope of reading it while tripping. Do you think this could help me control my datura trip?

Ok, I won't say "don't use Datura because it's incredibly dangerous and not worth the risk." :wink:

But I will suggest that if you're gonna smoke it, it's reasonable to assume that you might not even be able to read anyway. :idea:

So why not ask a trusted friend to stay sober while you trip out and just tell you that you're hallucinating? As a bonus, they can stop you from jumping out any windows and even call 911 for you if it becomes necessary, which, since you've read so much about it, you must already know is a very real possibility.

ok i've had trip experiences....and putting a note in your pocket,or getting a piece of paper and putting it up on the wall where you know you'll look....will help...but i will say...that you'll loose attention to the note or sign thats says "your trippin"

It is a very unpredictable drug, you may have overwhelming feelings of anger for no particular reason, high irritability, EXTREMELY realistic dreams. I have experimented with this drug quite a bit, and I don't recommend anyone trying it over and over again if they do not have an experience the first time. As this plant contains several alkaloids that are poisonous to humans. I did have an out of body experience on this, yet it was after several attempts and a very large dose of 220 seeds. I also know that I am very lucky to be alive, especially after about 1 whole month of experimenting with it. I would suggest using an extraction method instead of ingesting seeds, leaves, tea, or flowers. As you can be a lot more exact with your measurements. There are several extraction methods mentioned on Errowid, I am currently working on a Vacuum Filtration system to assist in the extraction of alkaloids with olive oil. When I get this right I will make a video and post it.

-Also a note to yourself might be helpful, but you become abnormal in strength as I have seen 4 people try to hold down a very small person who ingested this drug. Needless to say the person still was able to easily fight the 4 people.

hahahaha! this tread made me laugh yet turned me on mentally aswell, i experimented with this stuff for 6 days in a row, first stuff of its nature i played with also, to be honest i just brought my very own tree, no more jumping fences! anyway heres my views on the trips that u can have, its true you dont really know you are tripping while you trip, its only when you question things, like yeah true mate! your so right! who the fuck is this dude! i ask my self, the dude vanishes! lol became a game to pick the trip!
i honestly knew i over done it with this stuff, learnt it on my own, the best way.
i honestly highly respect this stuff, and thank her for showing what i could do with my mind with her at my side, i was able to talk to the dead. see ghost walk down the streets i walked down thinking holy shit!, honestly thank her for making me grow up.
i was able to sit down and stare into the distance and slowly a bubble or some sorta distortion would zoom in front of me not to far away and just float infront of me, i had to be careful cause if i thought about it, it would go away, and i would have to pull it back again, i would stare into this distortion, and..... this is gonna be hard to explain, i was able to send forth my consciousness into this thing and once i got through it i would be in a dream eviroment, i was amazed! i looked around and found my self in a small fanzy room with a dark wood table infront of me, i felt the table and could feel the realness of it! i got a little worried here... you hear about people who never come back from there trips! so i dared not leave the room i was in, i actually practiced just going back to my real body and then back to the dreamworld, btw each time i ventured into the dream, my real eyes would be completly open each time!!! lol i was rolling around later feeling like a special monk or something lol, i wonder how far can you explore and safely return to earths reality

There are much better hallucinogens that can help you with lucid dreaming and safer too. Try some mushrooms :) To me those are like living a lucid dream and I almost always have a lucid the night after. It boosts your ADA like crazy
