if you wake up for about 10 mins during the night does the cycle start at the beginning?
depends how awake you get (i would think, not sure exactly)
but if you just sat there on the verge of sleep for 10 minutes im sure your body doesn't need much more sleep than it needed while you were still asleep and would pick up (starting a new rem cycle) pretty close to where you left off
but if you got up and ran a mile and went back to sleep it would probably start over
i doubt It would start over, but it would probably modify itself to best suit your needs after the run. Im assuming you would go into REM faster.Quote:

Note that in the ideal WBTB execution, you'd be awake for 90 minutes after 6 hours of sleep before going back to bed and your dream cycle still won't have reset. I really haven't experimented with it enough to say otherwise.
